Film Only???

I just wanted to write and express how glad I am that I didn’t take a digital camera with me on this recent trip to Alaska.  It was nice not having that damn thing and it felt really, well, great to just shoot film (6×6 and 4×5).  Granted, it takes longer at security and the 4×5 might have been a bit much this time but still, felt great.  Now, it depends on what the film LOOKS like but Ill find out tomorrow.

Epic long days of travel. Again.

I don’t know why I do this to myself but I always seem to figure out the most awkward, long, exhausting way to get home.  I think it has something to do with being a cheap ass and that I travel to some pretty far away areas.  Case in point, Im sitting in the airport in Anchorage, AK waiting on my flight not home but to Atlanta.  Why Atlanta?  Well, I could redeem airline miles for a roundtrip out of Atlanta but not Nashville.  Damn second rate city.  So, not only do I have a pair of 4+ hour flights, a 4 hour layover in Seattle, I have a 5 hour drive home once I land.  Now, to make it even better, due to travel circumstances, I had to get to the airport at 2:00 pm and my flight is not out until 12:30 am.  Its getting down to the end of my stay here but damn, 5 hours in the Chilli’s bar will make one a bit light headed.  All told, this flight cost me $10.00 and I got upgraded, permanently, to Gold status on Alaska Airlines so not a bad deal.

Im at Review Santa Fe this weekend…

Im showing both my Man Proposes, God Disposes work and my full book here in Santa Fe.  Had my first three reviews today and they all went quite well.  A little down time and then onwards to the public review tonight.  Its going to be a long couple of days but has already got the creative juices flowing and there should be some good stuff coming out of it soon.

More to follow…

In Santa Fe, promos departing shortly…

I made it out of El Paso without engendering the ill will of the Cartels so that is good.  Im in Santa Fe about to attend Review Santa Fe and honestly, Im going to be glad when its over.  Its not that Im not looking forward to it, I am, its just that it has been that 800 pound gorilla in the room and Im ready to move past it.  Hopefully with some new contacts and a bit of direction.  On that note, new promo’s will be heading out the door soon so, keep an eye out for them.
