I found this image from my trip to Ethiopia while looking for something else and it reminds me of how photography is all about context.  Its not so much as what you include in the photo it is what you exclude from it.  For example, at first glance this image looks like one of those that you see on those late night commercials with the B list celebrity in cargo shorts begging for money to save the children.  In reality, it is nothing of the sort.  These two children are receiving the best education in the area, have books to read, plenty of food and just so happen to have been caught in an odd, sorrowful posture by  yours truly.  The fence is there to keep out hyenas, not people, and there is a gate just outside of the frame that these kids pass though freely whenever the care.  Context.  It’s a powerful tool.
